Pak Women won 2nd ODI by 12 runs to Sri Lanka Women

The superb all round performance of Sana Mir make it possible for Pakistani Women’s team to defeat Sri Lanka by 12 runs.

Now Pakistan has taken 2-0 decisive lead in 3 match series. Pakistan has also gained 2 points which are important for them to qualify for upcoming world cup. Sri Lanka was chasing 139 runs target but they can only manage to score 126 runs in 45.1 overs.

Rasangika (38), Prasadini Weerakkody (19), Inoka Ranaweera (12) and Chamari Atapattu (11) were the top scores from Sri Lankan side. Sana Mir took 2 wickets while 3 wickets each were taken by Bismah Maroof and Sadia Yousuf.

Prior to that, Pakistan Women’s team 138 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Sana Mir (34), Nain Abidi (29) and Asmavia Iqbal (19) were the main batswomen from Pakistan. Sogandika Kamari and Eshani Kaushalya took 3 and 2 wickets respectively from Sri Lankan side. Sana Mir was declared ‘woman of the match’ for her superb performance. On Tuesday, the last match will be played.
