Pakistani skipper Misbah up Haq lost his position in top 10 test batsmen. Younis also came down 1 position and reached 8th position. K Sangakkara regained his 1st position.

According to ICC, Misbah up Haq stop in top 10 proved short lived which he achieved after excellent batting performance in UAE. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson great achievement of 7 positons was the main reason of Misbah’s departure from top 10 ranking. Kane arrived at 6th spot after scoring 69 and 242 against Sri Lanka in Wellington.

Sri Lankan K Sangakkara regained 1st spot after scoring 203 against New Zealand in Wellington. South African AB de Villiers had to step down at 2nd spot in favor of Sangakkara. Due to superb performance against India, Australian Steven Smith reached at career best 4th spot.

Virat Kohli also performed well against Australia and arrved at 12th position. Younis Khan slipped to 8th position after losing one spot while Asad Shafiq is at 19th and Azhar Ali at 21st position.

Dale Steyn remained at 1st spot in test bowling and Trent Boult is at 6th spot. M Shami jumped 7 positions to reach 31 while Mitchell Starc moved 9 positions forward and reached at career best 33rd position.
