Afridi back with new energy for Hampshire

On Thursday, former Pakistani captain Sahhid Arfidi took his team Hampshire to victory against Kent with his superb bowling during the NatWest T20 match.

Afridi was declared man of the match as Hampshire won the match by 9 wickets due to his impressive bowling of 3 for 33 in 4 overs.

Apart from that, Afridi also scored 21 in just 14 balls while batting for his team in first inning to help his team getting a good total.

Afridi gave 15 runs in his first over while Hampshire was defending 159 runs but later he managed to came back well in the next overs and claimed the important wickets of Kent’s all rounder Matt Coles, skipper Sam Northeast and opener Daniel Bell-Drummond which helped his team in a desperate situation.

Hampshire lost its previous match of the tournament against Middlesex by 69 runs while Afridi took 2 wickets during this match.

20th May is the starting date of NatWest T20 Blast while this three-month long tournament will end with the final to be played on 20th August in Birmingham at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
