Pakistan national cricket team is on tour to Zimbabwe to play the one day international and T20 matches. Pakistan and Zimbabwe played their first one day international match of the current series in Harare Sports Club. Pakistan played first and scored 259 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Muhammad Rizwan scored 75 runs and Imad Waseem scored 61 runs, which were their best performances in the one day international cricket career. Sarfaraz Ahmed played well and he scored 44 runs to support his batsmen on the other end of the wicket. Shoaib Malik scored 31 runs, which was the good contribution from the seasoned player.

When Zimbabwe started their batting, their batting line up was strangled and all of the team bowled out on mere 128 runs, which helped Pakistan to win with the huge margin of 131 runs. From Pakistan side, Yasir Shah bowled his career best bowling and he got 6 wickets on 26 runs. The tremendous performance of this leg spinner dismantled the batting line of Zimbabwe and no player can stay on the crease for long time to score big total. They could not understand the bowling style of Yasir Shah and they failed to give big total and chased the target.

In Pakistan team, Muhammad Irfan and Amer Yamin were included in the fast battery of the team and in the spin bowling department, Shoaib Malik and Imad Waseem supported the team with their good bowling. Shoaib Malik got 3 wickets and Imad got one wicket. All of the ten wickets of Zimbabwe team went to the spinners. The leading and well-known Zimbabwean batsmen, Chigumbura, Chibhabha, Chari, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams and others could not understand the googlies, flippers and leg spin bowling and Pak spinners carried the day.
