Now Pakistani cricket team is playing the ODI series and the first ODI match was played at Brisbane on 13 January, in which Australia defeated Pakistan by 92 runs. When the match was started, Australia started its batting after winning the toss and it scored 268 runs in the allotted 50 overs. First five wickets of Australia were fallen on just 78 runs but the new coming batsmen understood their responsibility and they took their total to 268 runs and gave the target of 269 runs to Pakistan. Mathew Wade scored century and Maxwell scored 60 runs, who are the main contributors in the Australian side. Hassan Ali claimed three wickets for 65 runs in 9 overs while Muhammad Aamer and Imad Waseem claimed two wickets each and Muhammad Nawaz got one wicket in this ODI match.
Pakistan could not respond well and it failed to achieve the target and all team was out just for 176 runs in about 42.4 overs. Babar Azam scored 33 runs, Imad Waseem scored 29, Azhar Ali 24, Sharjeel Khan 18 runs, Muhammad Rizwan 21 runs, Umar Akmal 17 runs and Muhammad Hafeez scored only 4 runs and Pakistani batsmen were flopped in the first innings. James Faulkner claimed 4 wickets and Pat Cummins got 3 wickets. Starc was lagging behind them with 2 wickets and Mitchell Marsh got one wicket.
