Shahid Afridi’s team Rangpur Riders has achieved another victory in Bangladesh Premiere League after defeating Barisal Bulls y 12 runs and Shaid Afridi played important role in this victory with his all round performance. In the second match of the day, Chittagong Vikings was defeated by Dhaka Dynamites by 19 runs.
During the match, Rangpur Riders batted first and scored 175 runs for 6 wickets. The top scorers remained M Mithun (62) and Lian Dawosn (46) while Afridi scored 22 runs in 10 balls with 2 sixes and 1 four. T Perera and Taijul Islam took 2 wickets each.
In the 2nd innings, Barisal Bulls got out in 19.4 overs after scoring 163 runs. The top scorers in this inning were J Mendis (57) and Nadif Chowdhary (41) while both these players were dismissed by Shahid Afridi. 3 wickets are taken by Sohag Gazi. In the opening match of the day, 148 runs were scored by Dhaka Dynamites while only 129 runs could be scored by Chittagong team in reply.
