West Indies defeated Pakistan

In the quarter final match of ICC U19 world cup 2016, West Indies defeated Pakistan. In the Bangladeshi city of Fatah Ullah, the Khan Sahib Stadium hosted the Pakistan v West Indies quarter final match. West Indies successfully chased the target of 228 runs by Pakistan for the loss of just 5 wickets in 40 overs. Tevin Imlach (54) and S Hetmyer (52) remained top scorers for West Indies with fifties. From Pakistani side, Shadab Khan, Sameen Gul and Ahmed Shafiq scored one wicket each.

In the beginning, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first but the decision proved disastrous as Pakistan lost its first 5 wickets for just 57 runs. Later, Umair Massod and Salman Fiaz scored a partnership of 164 runs which took the Pakistani score to 221 and Pakistan finished with 227 runs in 50 overs. Umair Masoof hit 2 sixes and 15 fours for his 113 runs while Salman Fiaz scored 58 runs. From West Indian side, Chemar Holder took 2 wickets.
