Waqar Younis former Pakistani head coach, expressed his surprise for dropping Kamran Akmal after selecting him for ICC Champions Trophy.
In an interview, the former captain said that Umar Akmal doesn’t want to work hard to attain fitness which shows that he is his own worst enemy. After getting drop from champions trophy, the batsman should make efforts to make improvement but there are several spots on his career due to which it is difficult to say that he can do this. Even after getting several chances, the batsman could not show his talent due to his attitude.
Waqar said that it is disrespect for the team to send him back. After knowing complete facts, it will be possible to say whether Umar Akmal, coach or selectors are responsible for this incident.
