The Indian Premier League spot fixing case is under progress for which the committee was formed. This Justice Mudgal committee has issued its report and it was sent in the Supreme Court of India. This committee has shown their reservation and objection of the spot fixing case. The apex court thought over the issue whether this report should be made public or otherwise. The petitioner, Amit Verma has opined that this report should be made public for the interest of the cricket game.
In the spot fixing case of IPL, various players including Stuart Binny, Owaish Shah and Samuel Badree are involved along with the former BCCI chairman, Srinivasan, his son in law Gurunath Meiyappan and the owner of Rajasthan Royal, Raj Kundra. In the report of the Justice Mugdal committee, it has been recommended that all these people should be interrogated in which 13 people including the BCCI chief and the CEO IPL, Sundar Raman were also included. it is also said that this report was present in the court on 03 Nov and now the investigation of the case is going to be started. It was also said by the court that the names of the sportsperson should be struck off as their names were included in the spot fixing case unintentionally.
In the Justice Mukul Mugdal committee, the former Indian captain and star player, Sourav Ganguly was also included. The allegations of the 6 IPL matches spot fixing were made and about 12 players with the BCCI chief is involved in the case. After being involved in the case, the former BCCI chief, Srinivasan is now confused and captain Indian cricket team as well as captain of CSK was also entangled in this issue.
Supreme court stopped the meeting of BCCI going to be held on 20 Nov, in which Srinivasan was going to be re-elected as the head of BCCI. The court has fixed the date of the hearing of the case till 24 Nov.
