Shahid Afridi will quit cricket after ICC world cup 2015

Shahid Afridi, famous Pakistani all-rounder, has announced that he will retire from ODI cricket after ICC ODI world cup 2015.

Shahid Afridi was born on 1st March 1980 in Khyber Agency and played his first one day for Pakistan on 2nd October 1996 in Nairobi against Kenya while he became popular as ‘boom boom’ later for his hard-hitting batting. Shahid Afridi told that he will leave one day cricket and play only T20 cricket after the ICC ODI world cup 2015 which will be held in Australia and New Zealand. He said that he’s in favor to join politics but his elders have not given him permission.

Shahid Afridi was the record holder of fastest ODI century in only 37 balls. Afridi also holds the record of highest number of sixes (342) in one day matches. Till now, Shahid Afridi has played 389 ODIs in which he scored 7870 runs and took 391 wickets. Along with one day cricket, Shahid Afridi has also represented Pakistan in 77 T20 matches and 27 test matches.
