Karachi, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board said that the leadership qualities of Azhar Ali did not give the benefit to the Pakistani cricket team and after the retirement of Misbah ul Haq from the international cricket, it is expected that Sarfaraz Ahmed will be made the captain of one day squad of Pakistan cricket team.
The chairman of PCB talked with media and said that he made the captain Azhar Ali against West Indies and they won all three one day matches against West Indies. Now Azhar Ali will be the captain of the one day international team against Australia and the result of the one day series will decide his fate in the one day international cricket. He further added that Sarafarz Ahmed as made the captain of T20 team and he showed his talent in the T20 series. He said that Sarfaraz Ahmed is the strong candidates for the captaincy in all three formats of cricket. He also get advice from the head coach Mickey Arthur about the captaincy and he also suggested that he should be made the captain of the Pakistani cricket team but PCB will not compel any player to accept their decision and the senior players will be seen off with great honor and respect.
It remained the good decision for Pakistan cricket that one person is appointed as the captain in all three format of cricket and they got the best result. It is hoped that Sarfaraz Ahmed will be appointed as captain of all three formats of cricket after retirement of Misbah ul Haq.
