Salman Butt

Salman Butt was involved in the spot fixing case in 2010, when he was playing a test match against England. Two other players, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamer were also involved in the same spot fixing case. They were penalized from the court and ICC put ban on these players & they were away from the ground from many years. Now ICC forgave their remaining punishment period and allowed them to play their domestic cricket and they start their practice to get their forms in the cricket.

The players of the national cricket team did not forget them and they avoid to meet them and during the training session, they are not allowed to come before other players in the academy. Salman Butt started the efforts to create soft corners in the heart of the senior players and he started meeting with other players. Salman met with Shahid Afridi in the National Cricket Academy Lahore and he apologized on his behavior when his spot fixing scandal was revealed.

The sources said that he was very emotional and he talked to him during the meeting that he was on mistake. Shahid advised him to tell the board and ICC what has happened at that time but he did not accept his advice and he insisted over his innocence. Shahid helped him to make the captain of the cricket team but he failed to continue this portfolio and involved in the spot fixing scandal. If he accepted his advice then he did not face his awkward situation. He also requested with Shahid Afridi to support him to come into the team and start his play once again but Shahid said sorry to him and let everything on the Board, who will decide his future.
