Dubai, PCB is holding the Pakistani Super League Second Edition in UAE and the event will be started from 09 February. The final of the PSL will be played at Lahore on 07 March 2017 and the international players will also come to Pakistan to play the final of the PSL in Lahore and they will be provided the security equal to the head of the state.
PCB managed a meeting with the international players of all five teams, which are participating in the Pakistan Super League. The officials of PCB gave a briefing to the international players about the security arrangements being conducted in Lahore. The officials assured the international players that they play final of the event in Lahore if their team qualifies for the final of the event. Pakistani government will provide them security equal to the head of the state.
Rameez Raja and Waseem Akram are the international players of Pakistan and they assured the international players that foolproof security will be provided to the players to play the final of the event in Lahore. PCB wants to conduct the final of the PSL in Lahore in order to start the international cricket in Pakistan once again. The international organization has also showed their concerns over the security situation in Pakistan but the officials refused their concerns and they said that the security situation in Pakistan is normal and there is no threat to the lives of the players in Lahore.
The head of the ICC task force, Giles Clarke visited Pakistan few days earlier and he was given briefing over the security situation in Pakistan. He was also briefed over the security protocol during the visit of Turkish president to Pakistan and similar arrangements have been made for the international players to visit to Pakistan and play the final of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore on 07March.
