PCB Lodge Appeal in ICC for Muhammad Amir

Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to ledge appeal for mercy for Pakistani star bowler, Muhammad Amer for being involved in the spot fixing scandal. The Chairman of PCB confirmed that PCB is preparing the appeal with the consultation of the legal advisors and this appeal will be lodge in ICC within one week.

Pak cricket team toured England for test match series in which three Pakistani players were found involved in the fourth test match of the series, which was being played at Lords between Pakistan and England in 2010. PCB will file appeal for Muhammad Amer and no appeal will be filed for both remaining players, Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt. The ban period of Muhammad Amer is going to be finished in August 2015, as he was banned for five years for the domestic and international cricket. Chairman of PCB, Shaharyar Khan also said that Muhammad Amer showed good gesture and he also ensured for the reformation but the case of other two players is different as both of them are not ready to reform them. The co-operation of Muhammad Amer with PCB and ICC was taken into consideration and he will start playing very soon. ACSU is the legal forms, where the appeal is going to be launched and it can also give the relaxation to the banned players. Under the code, the banned player can file appeal for having rights to play the domestic cricket before the finishing of his banned period for playing the international cricket. Danish Kaneria is also facing the case of spot fixing, which is served with life ban since 2012.
