PCB is seeking to start the limited over cricket series in Pakistan and help to bring Pakistan in international cricket by playing cricket matches on the Pakistani stadiums. PCB invites Kenya to tour to Pakistan to play the cricket series on limited overs in Pakistan. Pakistan is still in isolation after the gunmen attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus and this incident was taken place in March 2009.
Kenya has shown his pleasure in playing the cricket series of limited overs in Pakistan and the discussions of the one day cricket series between November 20 to 29 is being carried out. This is the second attempt of Pakistan cricket Board to invite the foreign cricket team to come to Pakistan and play the cricket match series. Before this, PCB offered Ireland to come to Pakistan and play the limited over match series. The series could not possible due to attack of terrorists on Karachi airport. PCB has also started negotiations with Sri Lankan cricket board to have tour of Pakistan for limited overs cricket series.
PCB had made it clear that the negotiations between these two countries are continued for forming the scheme to play against Pakistan. They said that these negotiations are not concluded and these are still carried out. They said that they have made the preliminary arrangements for the limited over cricket series during last week of November. Former chairman of PCB, Zaka Ashraf discussed to start the home series with Bangladesh but it did not take interest and withdrew from the invitation of the cricket series. Now PCB elected chairman, Shaharyar Khan toured three Asian countries including Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh and informed them that the security position in Pakistan is better now and the atmosphere for international cricket is good to play the cricket series in Pakistan. He also offered to send the security assessment for the teams to them.
