Pakistani Team Went for T20 Series to Dubai

National T20 team players have moved from Lahore airport to Dubai in order to play series against West Indies. Pakistani team will play 3 T20 matches, 3 test matches and 3 ODIs against West Indies in this tour.

The captain of T20 team is Sarfraz Ahmed while other players in the team are Khalid Latif, M Nawaz, M Rizwan, Ruman Raees, Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Saad Nasim, Wahab Riaz, Umar Akmal, Hasan Ali, Babar Azam and Imad Wasim.

23rd September 2016 is the date of 1st T20 match while the other two matches will be played on September 24 and 27. Dubai will host the first two matches while the last match will be played at Abu Dhabi.

Before 1st match, the team will be joined by media manager. According to PCB, contract with bowling coach Azhar Mehmood has ended following the ODI and T20 matches against England. Now head coach wants a foreign bowling coach for the team.

The Pakistani team management during the tour include batting coach Grant Flower, fielding coach Steve Rixon, head coach Mickey Arthur, manager Wasim Bari, trainer Grant Luden and asst. manager Shahid Aslam. Pakistan team will start its practice session in Dubai on Monday evening.

Training of West Indian team has started in Dubai and they practiced for 3 hours on the first day at ICC Global Academy. In order to get use of the conditions and weather of UAE, the team arrived two days earlier than the schedule. West Indies T20 captain Carlos Brathwaite said that now they want number 1 ranking in T20 after winning the World T20 cup.
