Pakistan beat England in one-off T20I match with the margin of nine wickets and ended the tour with victory in the match. The only one T20I match was played in Manchester on Wednesday.
Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif scored 59 runs each and they played important role in the victory of Pakistan in T20I match. Before this, England won the toss and decided to bat first and they made 135 runs in the allotted 20 overs. The main scorers of the England side were Jason Roy, Alex Hales and Buttler and no other batsman could show good performance during this sole T20I match. Muhammad Amar and Sohail Tanveer were proved expensive bowlers, and they could not get any wicket. Wahab Riaz took three wickets in 4 overs after giving 18 runs. Imad Waseem got 2 wickets on just 17 runs while Hassan Ali was playing his first T20I match and he also bagged two wickets for just 24 runs in 4 overs.
This was the first ever T20I match of Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain and he led the team from the front and did not let them to relax in the match. Sharjeel Khan was the only player of Pakistan cricket team, who was bowled out by Adil Rashid and Pakistan got the target on the loss of one wicket only.
Wahab Riaz was declared the man of the match in this one-off T20I match as he took three wickets only for 18 runs and he played an important role in restricting England team to just 135 runs. The bowlers bowled well and in good areas and they put England team under pressure. The early dismissal of the English wickets compelled them to play with care and they made less score than the expected score.
