Leeds, Pakistani cricket team scored 174 runs for all out as Pakistani batting line up was flopped badly. When the first day of the Leeds test was ended, England scored 106 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Pakistani cricket team captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and decided to bat first but this decision was not proved excellent as Pakistani batting line faced problems during its batting and the earlier batsmenĀ  could not make good score but the tail enders made some good score to take the total to 174 runs. The second test match of the current series between Pakistan v England is being played at Headingly, Leeds. When English team started its batting, the openers, Alestair Cook and Caton Jennings started the batting of English cricket team. Faheem Ashraf got out Jenning on 29 runs and Alestair Cook made 46 runs and he was bowled out by Hassan Ali. When the first day was ended, Joe Root was remained not out at 29 runs and Dominic Bess scored none but present on the wicket.

When Pakistani cricket team reached to the total of 79 runs, its 7 players were returned to the pavilion and it was looking very difficult to make 100 runs. Then Shadab Khan played aggressive batting and he completed his fifty and scored 56 runs. Hassan Ali also scored 24 runs in his inning. When Pakistani cricket team started its batting with the openers Azhar Ali and Imam ul Haq, the Imam was out without score and Azhar Ali managed to made only two runs. Haris Sohail and Asad Shafiq made 28 and 27 runs respectively while captain Sarfaraz Ahmed scored only 14 runs.

Usman Salah ud Din was the debutant and he managed to make only 4 runs, who was included in the team as replacement of injured Babar Azam. Faheem Ashraf could not open his account and Muhammad Amir made only 13 runs. James Andersen, Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes took 3 wickets each.
