Pak-vs-Aus-Hockey

An agreement has been reached between Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and an Australian delegation for exchange of tours by Pakistan and Australian junior and senior teams to play in the opposite countries.

A meeting was held in Islamabad at the Pakistan Army Officers Club in which PHF was represented by its President BrigĀ® Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and secretary Olympian Shahbaz Senior while the members of the Australian delegation were 1st secretary economic & public diplomacy at the Australian High Commission in Islamabad Nicole Guihot and Director foreign affairs & trade for South Asia Michele Forster.

It was agreed by the two sides that Pakistan junior hockey team will tour Australia initially next year and this tour will be followed by Australian side which will play in Pakistan or any neutral venue.

It was also agreed by the Australian delegation that Pakistani umpires, technical staff and coaches will be invited by Hockey Australia in order to groom them and provide them valuable experience through domestic activities and coaching education programs.
