Muhammad Aamir, the ICC spot-fixing convicted cricketer, said that instead of looking at others he’s interested about his own performance to rejoin the national team. Aamir said he’s thankul to Najam Sethi and Shahriyar Khan for their efforts and his parents and friends for their prayers and also grateful to Allah. He said that initially in 2009 he came in the team after playing domestic cricket and now his procedure for coming back in the team will also be same.
Aamir said that he’s thankful to everyone while during his difficult times several people helped him while many didn’t. He knows the importance of fitness as it is the key to success. He said that currently the batsmen are performing well and the joining of Grant Flower has made a positive difference on the batting which will be helpful for 2015 ODI world cup.
It should be realized that ICC has just amended its anti-corruption code which made it possible for Aamir to come back in the international cricket. Due to spot-fixing case in a test match against England in 2010; M Aamir, Salman Butt and M Asif were sentenced for 5 years, 10 years and 7 years respectively by the ICC.
