PCB has sent a message to test captain Misbah ul Haq in which the senior batsman has been told that he is not a part of PCB’s future plan and he should take retirement. But the time of retirement has been left according to the choice of the senior batsman.
In case of taking such decision, Misbah’s experience will be used in betterment of domestic cricket according to sources. Vice captain Azhar Al is a strong choice to replace Misbah as test captain. Senior batsman Younis Khan is just 33 runs behind scoring 10,000 runs as he has scored 9977 runs so far due to which he can be given a test match or a complete tour to become the first Pakistani batsman reaching this milestone.
Previously, Misbah was looking forward to PSL to check his form and fitness before deciding his retirement.
