Kenya Cricket team is touring Pakistan to play matches against Pakistan A eleven. The Kenyan cricket team reached at Allama Iqbal International airport Lahore on Wednesday night and they were taken to the hotel amid tight security. The tour of Kenya is very important as Kenya cricket team is visiting Pakistan, when the situation of the country is not encouraging and not all of the international cricket teams take risk to visit Pakistan to play the international matches.
While arriving at the airport, the Kenya coach, Steve Tikolo said that their team wants to play more and more matches and they need practice. When Pakistan gave them offer to come and play cricket then they did not feel hesitation to come to Pakistan and start playing five one day matches with Pakistan A team. He said that he already toured to Pakistan in Karachi and Lahore and played cricket here and enjoyed a lot by playing cricket here.
In March 3, 2009, when Sri Lankan cricket team toured to Pakistan, then some gunmen attacked on them. In that attack, total 8 people were killed and some of the players were injured. The incident was happened in Lahore, when Sri Lankan cricket team was coming to Qaddafi Stadium on the third day of the second test match. Then Sri Lanka cricket team went back to their home and since then no other cricket team visited Pakistan to play the international cricket.
