New Zealand Team learnt tech to batting on Asian Pitches
After 30 years, the New Zealand team has scored over 400 runs against Pakistan. The Karachi test in 1984 was the last occasion when they reached that target. During these 30 years, Kiwis passed 400 runs 4 times each in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and 3 times in India.
New Zealand played 156 overs in the first inning of the ongoing Dubai test which is the 4th time that they played for 150 or more overs this year. Playing more than 150 overs for 5 times was their record in 1972. 5 fifty runs partnership against Pakistan in an away test is New Zealand’s another achievement after 30 years.
It happened in 1984 in Karachi last time. A big 7th wicket partnership against Pakistan in an away test has been scored now after 24 years. For the 7th wicket this time, Mark Craig and Bradley John Watling scored 68 runs.
IOC grants for combined Organization of Olympics
The chances of combined organization of Olympics have been opened by IOC and now for these games, economical and simple budding will also be introduced.
In order to lower the costs of Olympic Games and made them more interesting, the International Olympic Committee has now allowed more than one city or country to host these games. Due to the claim of negative effect on the fondness of these world’s biggest multi-sports events, the IOC had been neglecting the proposals of combined hosting of these games but now the IOC president Thomas Bach is confident about this issue.
Before voting for changes in the December meeting, Bach gave reasons for two host cities or countries. Around 95% facilities are mostly available in a city for winter games while others are not available, according to Bach who took IOC presidency in 2013. Therefore, entry of another city or country is better for the games.
Bach said that you can take services of neighbor country if you’re a small country and you don’t have lakes for boating. Even then the other city or country will be called a partner and it will be bidding for a single city. Along with that, IOC is also making economical and easier budding. The bidding cities will not have to act upon the harsh conditions of IOC if the suggestions are approved in the IOC December meeting.
