Sri Lanka won the ICC World cup 1996 in South Asia by beating Australia in the final. Since then, they are very consistent with their good performance in the international team. They have played all the world cups before. They lost the final of ICC world cup 2007 against Australia and 2011 world cup final against India. They also have problems in the difficult pitches of Australia/New Zealand like other Asian teams but they can perform well in difficult conditions.
