ICC Test Ranking 2016 Younis Khan achieve 2nd Position

New test ranking for players has been released by ICC according to which Pakistani top batsman Younis Khan has acquired 2nd position in the ranking for batsmen while leg spinner Yasir Shah has advanced to 5th position in the ranking of bowlers.

The test ranking of players released by ICC shows that the top position is still grabbed by Australia’s Steven Smith while Younis Khan has jumped from 4th to 2nd position after scoring a century against West Indies in the last match and England’s Joe Root has declined to 3rd position in this ranking. Along with that, Pakistani batsmen Misbah ul Haq, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq are at 10th, 12th and 14th positions respectively.

In ranking of bowlers, the 1st position is taken by India’s R Ashwin while Pakistani spinner Yasir Shah (who took 10 wickets against West Indies) has moved to 5th position now. He is leveled with Englishman S Broad at this position while both of them have just 2 points less than 4th position holder Sri Lankan R Herath.

It should be remembered that the best position for Younis Khan is 1st position which he achieved in March 2009 while he has already got the 2nd position in July 2009 also.
