PCB approached to National Command and Operation Center to allow hosting of the fans in stadiums during COVID-19 pandemic. PCB has made the assurance that all of the Coronavirus SOPs will be followed. Before COVID-19 pandemic, PCB wanted to integrate Peshawar as the latest venue in PSL 2021 and during PSL 5, the matches were played at four different venues including Karachi, Multan, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Now it has been planned to limit the venues to two venues because of the COVID-19 situation and now they are going to set up the bio-secure bubbles.

PCB was going to hold this mega event behind the closed doors but PCB had plan to request the concerned authorities to allow limited number of fans to come to the stadium to make this mega event memorable. This event will be started from 20 February 2021 and the opening match of PSL 6 will be played between defending champion, Karachi and former champion, Quetta Gladiators.
