In 1st class cricket, national cricketer Fawad Alam has completed his 10,000 runs while playing for Sui Southern Gas against HBL during the 7th stage of Quaid e Azam Trophy. In this inning, Fawad remained not out at 108.
It is a normal trend in Pakistan to ignore talented players while selecting national team and it is the main reason that Pakistan hasn’t been able to win ODI and T20 world cup since long. Apart from that, Pakistan’s rank in ODI and T20 cricket is no. 8 and no. 7 respectively.
Despite continuous superb performance in domestic cricket, Fawad Alam could not make a place in national team again. During a match in the 7th stage of QA Trophy, Fawad was able to pass the milestone of 10,000 runs after scoring 108 runs for Sui Southern gas team against HBL. So far, Fawad has played 132 first class matches in which he has scored 10077 runs with 53 fifties and 25 hundreds. 210 runs is his highest score. So far, Fawad Alam has played 3 test matches, 24 T20 matches and 38 ODI matches for national team.
In November 2009, he played his last test match against New Zealand in Dunedin while his last T20 match was also against New Zealand in Auckland in December 2010 while he played his last ODI match against Bangladesh in Dhaka in April 2015.
