UK will host the Champions trophy matches, which will be conducted next year. The India Pakistan cricket match will be conducted in Edgbeston and the tickets of the match have already been sold within few hours after they started selling. The number of spectators of this match compelled the English board to think over the new venue for the match between Pakistan and India. All of the stadiums have less number of seats and they started thinking that the match between Pakistan vs India will be conducted in the Olympic Stadium, London, which has the capacity of 60,000 spectators. The playing area in the Olympic stadium is small, so they need special approval of the ICC and the counties can also oppose this change of venue.
England is hosting the next Champions Trophy cricket, which will be played in June next year. The tickets of the match between Pakistan and India were started selling and the sale of the tickets was completed within few hours. Now English Cricket Board is thinking that the match between Pakistan and India in the mega event of World Cup cricket 2019 will be conducted in the Olympic stadium, London which has the capacity of 60,000 spectators. When the cricket world cup will be played, it will be the off season for the football matches. The CEO of Essex county has shown his willingness to conduct few of the matches on this ground before hosting the match of Indian and Pakistan there in the world cup 2017. They will have to make the drop in pitches on this ground so that the football matches can also be played on this ground after finishing of the cricket matches.
ECB is going to persuade the counties to conduct this match on this ground as the 48 matches of the ICC Cricket world cup 2017 have already been distributed among these counties. If a new venue is included in the list of the counties then they will have to shift that match to the new venue, which is surely not acceptable for the counties.
