New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum scored a fifty of just 18 balls on Friday against England in a world cup match in Wellington. By doing so, he became the player to make fastest fifty in world cup history.

There were seven fours and four sixes in this fastest half century by McCullum due to which New Zealand beat England in just 12 overs after completing the target of 123 by England.

When McCullum reached this fifty with a four to Steven Finn, he broke his own record of fastest world cup fifty in 20 balls which he made in 2007 WC against Canada.

Apart from that, he also became the player to make the 3rd fastest fifty in ODIs while he is only behind AB de Villiers (16 balls) of South Africa and Sanath Jayasuriya (17 balls) of Sri Lanka.
