Dhaka, Bangladesh Premiere League is going to start its second edition from 04 November and the BPL has scheduled the draft session on 30 September. It is reported that 31 players have already signed their agreements with seven different franchises before the schedule draft. Shahid Afridi represented Sylhet in the previous edition of BPL and now he will sign the agreement with Rangpur Rider and Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan will also the part of this team. Chris Gayle also signed the agreement with Chittagong Vikings for just five matches, as he will be available for only five matches, which will be played at the end of the league. Shoaib Malik will also play the BPL from Chittagong side.
Komila Victorians has signed the agreement with Sohail Tanveer and Imad Waseem. Komila also signed the agreement with Thisara Parera and maintained their agreement with Ashar Zaidi and Nowan Kolasekkara. It is said that Ahmed Shahzad, Muhammad Hafeez and captain of Pak test team, Misbah Ul Haq will sign their agreement in the schedule draft on 30 September. This is the first time for Imad Waseem to play the BPL while Sohail Tanveer played the pre3vious edition from Rangpur.
The international players of BPL are divided into different categories and the players included in the A category, can earn the salary of $70,000. The players in category B can earn up to US $50,000, the players in C category can earn US $40,000 and players in D category can earn US $30,000.
