Pakistan ODI team captain Azhar Ali missed his 8th half century during the 3rd ODI match against Sri Lanka but he became the fastest Pakistani and 5th international player to score 1000 runs in ODI cricket by scoring 1037 runs in his 23rd match.
Yasir Hameed of Pakistan scored his 1000 runs in 24 matches while four international players completed their 1000 runs in 21 matches including West Indian Vivian Richards, England’s Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott and South Africa’s de Cock.
