Sri Lanka has decided to play the series of the limited over matches in Pakistan. The Sri Lankan cricket team toured to Pakistan in 2009, when their players were attacked and they left the series incomplete and went back to their country. After these attacks, the international games were brought to standstill.
Now the Sri Lankan cricket board sent their security team for the assessment of the security position in Pakistan and after getting the government approval, the board has made the decision to send the team to Pakistan to play the three T20i matches in which one match will be played in Lahore. The security team is satisfied with the security situation and also the things have been improved all over the country and also in Lahore. Sri Lankan cricket team will tour to Pakistan in September to play three T20 games in Pakistan in which one match will be played in Lahore. Zimbabwe toured to Pakistan to play the three limited over matches in Lahore in 2015 and these matches were played in peaceful atmosphere. It is also expected that ICC World XI team will tour to Pakistan during September to play the T20i matches in Pakistani stadiums.
