The International Cricket Council has made the partnership with popular chip maker, Intel and they planned to introduce smart bats during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. The smart chips are added with the bats to make them smart bats and it is also dubbed with BatSense and allow them to sense the swings of the bat.

Batsensing Bats

The three players from the international teams will get the Bet Sensor, which will be installed on top of their bats. It will generate the data on each of the swing of the bat. The ICC said that the new bat sensor is powered by Intel Curie technology that can be used on any cricket bat and it will generate the data for e stroke to make the batsman play.

The statement is added that with the use of this technology, the parameters like the bat speed, back-lift and follow through can be tracked for the cricket stroke. There are several batsmen, who will use bat sensors in game during ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Impact of BatSense

The sensors on the bats are developed by Intel and it sports the start up specular. The useful information about back-lift angle, bat speed and impact momentum along with follow-through will be measured during the sensors. These figures will be shared to the coaches for having immediate analysis and the broadcasters will use such information to bring the wonderful content for the viewers.

When we follow the Hawk eye, it has changed the whole cricket scenario with the use of high speed cameras and the ball tracking technology and the new sensor can bring the new revolution with the batting aspect of cricket.

Players who will use BatSense

It is confirmed that three players from each team will get the BatSense installed bats and the names of the players, who will use these bats will be announced. We have the names of players of Indian and English team, who will have this chip on their bats.

England:          Ben Stokes, Jason Roy and Alex Hales

India:               Rohit Sharma, Ajinkiya Rahane and Ravi Chandran Ashwin.

ICC is making the plan to bring the new technologies in the cricket to make it more modern and revolutionize.
