Shoaib Malik Plays 6th Consecutive Champions Trophy Event

Dubai, ICC Champions Trophy is going to be started in UK from 01 June and he is the first Pakistani player, who will play the champions trophy for the six times. ICC has confirmed the squads of all teams, who will play the coming ICC Champions Trophy. There are nine players, who have already played the champions trophy for the six times. Now Shoaib Malik will play this Champions Trophy and he will become first ever Pakistani player, who play the Champions Trophy for six times. There are other players of the world, who played the champions trophy for six times and they are Rahul Dravid of India, Ricky Ponting of Australia, Mahella Jayawardena, Jaysuria and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, Jacques Kallis and Mark Boucher of South Africa and Daniel Vettori of New Zealand.

Shoaib Malik played the champions trophy in 2002 in Colombo, 2004 in England, 2006 in India, 2009 in South Africa, 2013 in England and now he will play the champions trophy in England. He played 15 one day international matches in which he scored 326 runs and he also claimed 10 wickets. Shoaib Malik showed his happiness over his inclusion in the Pakistani national team and said that it was great honor for him that he became the part of the national team once again. If Pakistani team shows the good performance in the Champions Trophy, then its global ranking will also be increased and Pakistani will play the world cup 2019. Sarfaraz Ahmed will be captain of Pakistani national team for ICC Champions Trophy and he will play the first ever ICC Champions Trophy event.
