Pakistan Cricket Board announced the complete schedule of the National Twenty20 cup 2017 and the names of the players of all national teams on 10 August. According to their previous announcement, the national event was going to start from 25 August 2017 in Multan and the matches would be played till 31 August 2017. After that the next stage of the national event would be played from 04 September 2017 to 109 September 2017 in Faisalabad. The fitness test would be started from 22 August 2017 and PCB asked all of the players to reach to Pakistan and attend the fitness test. The Pakistani national players, who were playing the Caribbean Premier League in WI and County Cricket in UK, were asked to return to Pakistan and all of the players reached here to join the fitness test.
Now it is reported that PCB is considering to postpone the national event till the month of November as the national coach, Mickey Arthur will leave to his home land to spend some of the vacations. The drama of the delaying of the national event is being done to give time to the national coach to spend the vacations in his homeland. All of the national players are reached Pakistan leaving their league matches incomplete and they have to face heavy financial loss.
The national players, who were playing the county cricket in UK are Muhammad Amer, Junaid Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, and the players, who were playing the Caribbean Premier league were Muhammad Hafeez, Hassan Ali, Imad Waseem, Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Babar Azam and Shadab Khan and all these players are now in Lahore for the fitness test, which will be started from 22 August and after the fitness test, the coach will leave to his country to spend the vacations.
