PCB Declares Pak Squad for ICC Champions Trophy

Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board declared the names of the Pakistani squad to play the ICC Champions Trophy and the chief selector, Inzamam ul Haq declared the names of the players, who are selected to play the mega event. Kamran Akmal, who performed well in Pakistan Super League and in the domestic season and he was given the chance to play in West Indies in the current one day and T20 series, but he failed to impress the selectors and he was dropped from the national team.

Umar Akmed, his younger brother was dropped from the national team for tour to West Indies and he showed poor fitness, now he is selected in the national team after passing the fitness test. Azhar Ali and Ahmed Shahzad are also selected in the team and they are given the chance to prove their selection. There are many other talented players in the national team in which Sarfaraz Ahmed is the captain of the team. The leading players are Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Babar Azam, Azhar Ali, Muhammad Hafeez, Muhammad Amir, Shadab Khan, Wahab Riaz, Imad Waseem, Hassan Ali, Amir Yamin / Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shahzad and Junaid Khan and this mega event will start from 01 June in England.
