Dubai, Pakistan won the first test match against West Indies, which was played at Dubai international stadium. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and opener Azhar Ali scored triple century and remained not out in the first innings. Other batsmen like Sami Aslam scored 90 runs, Asad Shafique made 67, Babar Azam made 69 and captain Misbah ul Haq scored 29 runs not out. When the total of Pakistan cricket team reached to the total of 579 runs, Pakistani skipper announced the declaration and West Indies started their innings. West Indies could score 357 runs and still trailed by 222 runs.
Pakistani Won Day & Night Test Match Against West Indies
Pakistan team decided not to follow them on and started their batting but their batting line was strangled and it could score only 123 runs and gave the target of 346 runs to West Indies to win the first day and night test match. In the first inning, Yasir Shah took five wickets haul and he completed his fastest 100 wickets in the test cricket. West indies started their second inning and he it could manage only 289 runs and all team was out and Pakistan won the first day and night test match by 56 runs and set the historic record of winning of first day and night test match. Azhar Ali was declared the man of the match due to his triple century, which is first ever triple century in test cricket.
