T20 matches in Pakistan

Pakistan has cancelled this year’s scheduled Bangladesh tour, according to PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan.

In 2007-08, Bangladesh visited Pakistan for the last time and since then Pakistan has played two series in Bangladesh in 2011 and 2015. According to the schedule of cancelled tour, Pakistan was going to play 3 ODI matches, 2 test matches and 1 T20I match in July and August 2017.

According to PCB Chairman, Pakistan had toured twice to Bangladesh after which it offered a reciprocal Pakistani tour of only T20I matches but the offer was rejected by Bangladesh Board. Therefore, it was against the interests of Pakistan to tour Bangladesh for the 3rd consecutive time without any tour from Bangladesh. Due to this reason, the scheduled Bangladeshi tour has been cancelled and they will consider other options for bringing international cricket in Pakistan.

Pakistan is playing its home matches in UAE since 2009 when the touring Sri Lankan team was attacked by gunmen in Lahore.
