Pak Test Team Against West Indian Tour 2017

Pakistan Cricket Board has declared the 16 members squad to play the test series comprising of three test matches against West Indies. There are seven players, who were included in the Pakistani team during Australian tour but now they are dropped from the national team.

Sharjeel Khan is involved in the spot fixing and Sami Aslam is dropped from the team. The wicket keeper batsman, Muhammad Rizwan, spinner Muhammad Nawaz, fast bowlers Rahat Ali, Sohail Khan and Imran Khan Senior were also failed to be selected in the national team.

In the selected team, opener Ahmed Shahzad, Shan Masood and Usman Salah ud Din are included in the national team. Other players like Muhammad Abbas, Hassan Ali and Shadab Khan are also included in the national team for the first time to play the test series against West Indies.

The national selection committee has added some new faces in the national team to play the series against West Indies and some old players have done the comeback. Shadab Khan has shown the tremendous performance in the PSL and in the T20i series against West Indies and the selectors have decided to give them the chance to play in the national team. Hassan Ali has also done the good performance consistently and Muhammad Abbas remained the top wicket takers in continuous two season of Quaid e Azam trophy and he is also selected in the test squad of Pakistan.

In the test squad for the west Indian tour, Misbah ul Haq captain and Sarfaraz Ahmed is the vice captain. The other players are Ahmed Shahzad, Azhar Ali, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Younis Khan, Asad Shafique, Usman Salah ud Din, Yasir Shah, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Asghar, Muhammad Aamer, Wahab Riaz, Hassan Ali and Muhammad Abbas.
