National T20 Tournament to start from 1 Sep 2015

Preparations are underway to start national T20 cricket tournament from 1st September. Multan or Rawalpindi is possible venues. Gold teams will play final round.

Two teams will move forward from qualifying round of silvers but PCB is worried about disruption in the tournament due to rains. According to details, national cricketers are taking rest these days after successful tour of Sri Lanka while green shirts will play 3 T20 matches and 3 ODIs in Zimbabwe from 24th September to 5th October. A complete series will be played against England in UAE in October and November. Later, Pakistan will also host India also in UAE in December.

If BCCI could not get permission from Indian government then PCB will call any other team according to plan B. New Zealand tour will be held in the start of New Year while World T20 is scheduled in India in March 2016. In this situation, a national tournament can be played in September in which top players can also participate. According to sources, PCB is seriously planning to start domestic T20 from 1st September 2015.
