London, When our own cricket board denied to give the guard of honor to Shahid Afridi, the players of World XI gave him the guard of honor to get retirement from the international cricket.
Shahid Afridi is the legend cricketer of Pakistan and he is very popular among the cricket fans all over the world. He played a charity match as captain of World XI and this charity match was played between World XI and West Indies. The main purpose of this match was to raise the funds for the restoration of the cricket venues, which were affected by the ocean winds and thunderstorms.
Due to arrogant behavior of PCB, Shahid Afridi was deprived the farewell match in Pakistan but the international players gave him good farewell in his last match, when he played the last international match. When he entered in the ground, the colleagues gave the guard of honor. He had knee injury but he entered in the ground limping and he did batting and bowling and he took one wicket and made 11 runs in his last international match. The audience gave him appreciation in the last international match.

Shahid talked with media and said that he was the lucky that he played the last match of his international career in the home of cricket. He also paid thank to the English cricket board and Andy Flower and said that he is away from the international cricket because of his knee injury. He donated $20,000 from his foundation to the affected cricket venues of West Indies. In the charity match being played between West Indies and World XI, the West Indian cricket team defeated the World XI by 72 runs. The players of the winning team including Evan Louis made 58 runs, Danesh Ramdin made 44 runs and Marlon Samuels scored 43 runs. The World XI scored only 127 runs in response to the target and West Indies cricket team won this match by 72 runs.
