Afridi Appoints as ICC Champions Trophy Ambassador

Dubai, Shahid Afridi is appointed as the ambassador of ICC Champions trophy. He is the popular and prominent player of Pakistan and he is well known for his name, Boom Boom Afridi. ICC has announced his name along with seven other star players of the world as the ambassadors of the Champions Trophy. ICC appointed them as the ambassador with the view to impress the youth by their game and increase the popularity of Champions Trophy. There are seven other star players of the world like Graeme Smith of South Africa, Eion Bell of UK, Harbhajan Singh of India, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, Habib al Bashar of Bangladesh, Shane Bond of New Zealand and Mike Hussy of Australia. All these eight players have played 1774 one day international matches in all. They scored 51906 runs with the help of 48 centuries and they also took 848 wickets in the ODIs.

These legend players will be remained with the Champions trophy during its launching ceremony and they will also have the meeting with the school children and they will participate in the coaching clinics. Shahid Afridi played total 13 ODIs and he made 167 runs and he took 14 wickets in the ODIs. Afridi thanked ICC to include in the list of the ambassadors with other great players of the world. Pakistan will play ICC Champions Trophy and he has to play against the tough competitors like India, South Africa and Sri Lanka and Pakistan team has to show its performance in all matches.
